A baby girl suspected to be just two
weeks old has miraculously survived after being thrown into the public
toilet last night at Nkrankwanta in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo
Region.
The baby, who was soaked in maggots infested toilet with
only her head afloat, was rescued and sent to the Nkrankwata Polyclinic.
The baby girl has now been transferred to the Dormaa Hospital for further treatment.
Narrating
the incident to Adomonline.com, an eye witness, Raph Ken said “my
friend and i went to the public toilet to attend to a nature's call and
then later we heard a voice of a baby crying”.
“Initially we were
shocked to hear such a voice coming from the toilet and so we decided
to carry on a search using our phones as touch lights because the place
was very dark and so in the course of our search, we were able to rescue
the innocent baby and she is currently receiving treatment at the
Dormaa Hospital.
“In fact the baby’s survival was a miracle” he noted.
Meanwhile Police at Dormaa Ahenkro have begun investigations into the matter |
