10 Injured in Accident on N1 Highway

Ten persons narrowly escaped death in a fatal accident on the George Bush Highway in Accra.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday at the Abofu end of the N1 Highway.

Adomonline’s Kwaku Nti who was at the scene reported that a truck on top speed hit the side of the Urvan bus travelling from Lapaz to Madina.

He said the bus somersaulted several times on the road after the driver lost control.

Kwaku Nti added that the driver of the truck fled the scene after the accident.

He said personnel of the Ghana Police Service and passersby helped to rescue some of the passengers trapped in the mangled vehicle.

Those injured, including the driver and his mate were rushed to the 37 Military Hospital for medical attention.
